SYNOPSIS-There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

MY MUSINGS- The book was good enough, but was mostly plot-driven. There was no force in the characters. Luce was just a whiney teen with no idea what to do with her life. I mean, seriously, how can she love Daniel one moment and not love him another. I guess it was simply forced into it. And that's exactly why the writing style was horrible. It didn't make me feel the way Luce did. I forced myself to think like her, and when I finally accomplish it, she changes her mind! And that was so irritating. Her erratic mood and character was frustrating in a way that pulled the book downwards.
And the one thing what I totally didn't get was why did Lauren Kate have to write in 3rd person from Luce's perspective?
FINAL SAY- It's an okay-okay book, and I would reccomned it for those who want to read something princess diary-ish.
