All right, so five minutes after the previous post, I find this article on MTV. So apparently, there is no definite story in the album.

This is what Mike Shinoda is saying (after reading which I think that the whole concept-less concept album doesn't bug me so much):

"People asked us if it's a concept record, and in the middle of the process, we were contemplating whether or not that was what we wanted to do. And I think, as we finished it, it became clear that, usually the problem with concept records is, like, [the] term usually refers to things like [the Who's] Tommy or ... rock operas and stuff like than that has a narrative. And this doesn't have a narrative; it's more abstract that that. "

World Book Fair Delhi

Hey,

On Sunday, I visited the World Book Fair in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The fair was simply HUGE (and that's when I only visited 2 out of 8 halls). Almost all the publishers whose books I wanted were there. Random House, Om Books House, Pan Macimillian, Roli Books, Hachette, Harper Collins, Frank Brothers and a lot more (except Simon and Schuster (I wanted Hush, Hush by Becca FitzPatrick really bad)). I got quite a bit of books. Some books (like hush hush) were ones I wanted and couldn't find, but probably Though probably one book shouldn't cloud my experience. All in all, it was great, and all book--lovers are reccomended to go there next time.

Dragon Ball Evolution

Hi all!
Dragonball Evolution is a live-action movie based on the popular Anime and manga series 'Dragon Ball'. Now the live-action is being released in India! It will be in Cinemas on August 7, 2009 in both Hindi and English. Though we wont know whether the people liked it or not till it is released, the Dragon Ball fans are ignited with enthusiasm. Hopefully, this will turn out to be good!

Twilight By Stephenie Meyer to be converted to Manhwa

Well, I think Its really great that what books like Harry Potter couldn't accomplish, Twilight has. Mangas being converted to Animes is something so common that probably 90% animes are based on mangas. But a novel by an English author to be converted to a manhwa is something new.

With Globalisation on the rise, the fusion of American and Japanese comics has helped the emergence of new kind of readers who get an opportunity to read about philosophy, drama, and action in comics and at times all in one. With Novels like Twilight being Converted to manhwas, this is helping readers of different genres to come together and share ideas. I think that not only will a story like Twilight be able to reach more readers, but also help different form of communication of stories fuse into one. I think the example of Twilight should one that promotes conversion of novels to mangas and vice versa.

This also gives hope to anime to come in and be a part of this.

Fullmetal Alchemist OVA on 1st Brotherhood Disc

HI ALL

The first Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume for the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime series will include a Mōmoku no Renkinjutshi (Blind Alchemist) OVA when Aniplex ships it on August 26. The OVA is based on the side story of the same name that manga creator Hiromu Arakawa drew for the Fullmetal Alchemist Guidebook. The first Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood disc release will also feature the first two episodes from the television series. The Limited Initial Edition will add "Hiromu Arakawa's 4-Panel Theater," which will be the first time that Arakawa's four-panel gag manga have been animated. The other extras will include an "Eye Catch Card" illustrated with the commercial bumper artwork from the anime and a 16-page Alchemist's Log about the behind-the-scenes production. Hiroki Kanno is drawing the disc jacket illustrations. Arakawa herself will illustrate a "Rouge" box for the first four volumes.

Fullmetal ALchemist:Brotherhood premiere through out the world

FMA remake entitled 'Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood' will premiere in Asia, Australia, Japan and North Ametica. By Animax-Asia in Asia, MBS and TBS in Japan, Madman in Australia. But that's not all! ANN has reported today that Funimation has acquired the right to digital, broadcast , DVD and merchandise of FMA:brotherhood. Starting from April 9 12 p.m. they will be streaming, for free, the japanese audio episodes of FMA:Brotherhood! They will containing English subtitles. Here are some few facts and trivia about Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood. It will be airing on Animax on April 10 at 8:30 p.m. (Scroll down further for complete schedule).
1. It will follow the story of the manga much closely unlikely the first time it was made. This is because earlier there were only 3-4 volumes of the manga that were released, now there are 21. Here is the confirmation on ANN here. See the paragraph under the first video.

2.It has a character Isaac who did not exist earlier in the anime.

3.It will simulcast on Animax 6 days after the original telecast in Japan. Confirmation is available on Animax-Asia news page on here.

Fullmetal Alchemist (TV2) and Tears to Tiara to premiere on Animax

Fullmetal Achemist TV version 2 will air on April 5 in Japan on the channels MBS and TBS at 5 p.m. This information was provided in the January issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine (where Hiromu Arakawa's original manga is still serialized. The same issue also included a poster with a key visual image.

But that's not all. Animax confirmed on March 20th, 2009 that it will simulcast FMA:Brotherhood on April 10th, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. in South East Asia, Phllipines, Taiwan and South Asia. Each new episode wil air six days after the original broadcast. It will air with English and Chinese subtitles and wil be repeated on prime time. It will also broadcast Tears to Tiara in Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Taiwan on Monday, April 6 at 12:35 a.m.

Animax Asia will repeat the episodes in both series in primetime and in a weekend marathon every month. This weekend marathon after every month's episodes wil start from 25 April for Tears to Tiara and from 26 April for FMA.

Finally, from 26 March 2009, viewers can pledge to be part of history at http://www.ipledgeanimax.com/ and join in the online countdown to the historical Tears to Tiara broadcast and debut of 2009's biggest title Fullmetal Alchemist – Brotherhood this April on Animax.

TEARS TO TIARA

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST – BROTHERHOOD

Fullmetal Alchemist – Brotherhood is set in a fictional world where alchemy – the transmutation of raw materials into objects – is science and the way of life. The brand new anime series is based on Hiromu Arakawa hit manga series which follows the well-loved Elric brothers Edward and Alphonse on their perilous journey in search of the legendary Philosopher's Stone. They set forth in the hope that the magical artefact can restore their bodies after a failed alchemy experiment to revive their dead mother cost Edward's left leg and right arm; as well as Alphonse's entire body, leaving his soul affixed to a suit of armour. Production for Fullmetal Alchemist – Brotherhood was undertaken by anime studio BONES which made the original Fullmetal Alchemist series, and is directed by Yasuhiro Irie who also helmed Kurau: Phantom Memory, Soul Eater, episodes of Alien Nine and RahXephon, as well as animation sequences in the first Fullmetal Alchemist series. Hiroshi Ohnogi (Macross Zero) leads script development while Hiroki Kanno (Yu Yu Hakusho The Movie: Poltergeist Report) takes on character design, with music by Akira Senju (Mobile Suit Victory Gundam). Hi everyone! I was going through the LaMB website, and I found some new information. LaMb is going to be released on 24 March 2009! they have decided the release date! Now taht they have announced the realease date, it amkes it even harder to wait...! How long will it be till we can finally see the movie!

FMA Remake casting for Ed and Al

FMA remake ED and Al casted! I can't believe it! Romi Paku and Rie Kugimiye casted again!
I didn't watch the Japanese version so carefully, but i did see the english version 3 times, including the movie! I just hope that Vic and Aaron are also casted again!

Romi Paku, Rie Kugimiya to play main characters again in new TV series
The March issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine will announce on February 10 that Romi Paku and Rie Kugimiya will reprise their roles of the Elric brothers Edward and Alphonse in the new television version of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist "dark fantasy" manga. Newtype magazine had indicated that the creators were still casting the voices as recently as last month. The new series will premiere in Japan on April 5.
The main staff has already been announced in Newtype last month. The new project's director, Yasuhiro Irie, had previously overseen Kurau: Phantom Memory, opening animation footage for the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime and Soul Eater, and episodes of Alien Nine and RahXephon. Hiroshi Ohnogi (Kekkaishi, Noein, Macross Zero) is supervising the scripts, while Hiroki Kanno (RahXephon, Yu Yu Hakusho The Movie: Poltergeist Report) is designing the characters. Akira Senju (Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, Red Garden, Rampo) is composing the music. Besides Oyama, MBS' Hiro Maruyama, Square Enix's Nobuyuki Kurashige, and BONES' Noritomo Yonai are producing.
Viz Media published the 17th volume of the manga version in North America last October, while FUNimation Entertainment released both the first television series and its theatrical movie finale.

Funimation Gets Fullmetal Alchemist Premium Colection

Funimation is now producing the hagaren OVA in English! Its a great news! :) I had watched the OVA in japanese but it is totally different to watch it in English! This is the report that appeared on ANN:

Distributor hopes to make "FMA related announcement" later this month.

The Fanboy Review website reports that Funimation has acquired the Fullmetal Alchemist: Premium Collection set of animated shorts, and was dubbing them with the original English cast before the new year began. The Premium Collection includes the "Seven Homunculi VS State Alchemists" short that was screened at the Universal Studios Japan amusement park's Fullmetal Alchemist Premium Tour to promote the 2005 Fullmetal Alchemist film. In this "what-if" story, the two sides of the conflict face off in one giant battle. The Premium Collection also includes three DVD shorts that shipped after the movie ended: "Live Action," "Chibi Party," and "Kids." These shorts were the last animated footage created for Fullmetal Alchemist — until this coming April's new Fullmetal Alchemist television adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's original manga. A Funimation spokesperson told ANN that the company is "hoping to make an FMA related announcement at Ohayocon later this month." The Ohayocon event takes place in Columbus, Ohio from January 30 to February 1.

Hagaren remake!

Ges what did i just find on ANN! A fma remake is being made! :) http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-01-11/new-fullmetal-alchemist-anime-staff-confirmed is the link. its gonna be directed by Yasuhiro Irie. I m so excited about it. i mean the anime tv series had a pretty disappointing end and in the movie's end, the bros, come together, but separate from all their other companions and their original world.

But from what i read, i understand that they r primarily going to stick to d manga storyline this time, probably from where they diverged from. i read d comments and someone stated that it was money that they were remaking the whole thing, even after its grand success among the audiences. and if u ask for my personal opinion, the remake will spoil the whole consistency in the story. Tho i m dying to watch the remark, it might just be best for the anime version to remain unchanged.
